Thursday, October 20th, 2022 was held ICCCASU Talk presented by Allan Cain, director of Development workshop in Angola at the University of Ottawa at the local Desmarais 11143 and also online. Architect and specialist in urban project planning with more than 40 years of experience, Allan Cain’s talk was about: Urban Challenges in the Global South, Case of Africa and China. During this conference, Director Cain discussed about the similarities and the differences between African urbanization mainly in Angola and China. A case study of China and another of Angola specially the capital Luanda were presented to better understand the link between the two countries and the functioning of the real estate market in both situations. This conference was rich in information and sparked relevant discussions around the city of Luanda and how it could have housing that is affordable for the population. This workshop was an excellent moment of knowledge sharing and learning and attracted near 50 participants. By this special occasion, we are pleased to share an excellent news with you.
